The object of study is road traffic on public motor roads. The purpose of the study is to improve method for determining road safety on the basis of determination of relationship between parameters of the driving conditions on the roads of General use. For the first time revealed stable groups in the accident rate on the basis of uniformity of their influence on the level of traffic safety for roads of different technical categories, as first developed a model of latent factors of traffic conditions on highways for linking partial factors of accidents in the method of determining the total accident rate. Improved method of determining the total accident rate by reduction partial factors of accidents without loss of accuracy and the introduction of the average accident rate at kilometer stretch of road. Methods of mathematical modeling, regression analysis and field observations used to determine the level of road safety. Are ordered parameters of traffic conditions on the basis of methods of cluster analysis taking into account all features of the classification simultaneously. The reduction of aggregate traffic conditions parameters carried out by principal components method. The number of private accident rates has been reduced from 18 to 11. Interrelation of private accident rate is reflected in the 5 latent factors. Is developed method of express analysis road safety in the areas of public roads. This will reduce the time and labor costs to determine the level of road safety in the safety audit on the roads without any loss of accuracy. The results of the research can be used by traffic police services, design and research organizations to meet the challenges of evaluation and analysis of traffic safety on the roads of different technical categories.
