Romaniuk N. Formation of the Publishing in Yelysavethrad and surrounding territories (End of 17th - Beginning of 20th Centuries)

The research of the publishing of Yelysavethrad region (Yelysavethrad, Oleksandriya, Novomyrhorod, Zlatopil, Bobrynets) from the founding in 1764 to the liquidation in the early 20-th of 20th century is made in the work. The activity of Yelysavethrad publishing houses of A. and M. Goldenbergs, Shpolyansky brothers, Broun brothers, publishing house of Yelysavethrad district council and other publishing houses of Yelysavethrad, Oleksandriya, Novomyrhorod, Zlatopil, Bobrynets are complexly analyzed for the first time. The archive materials, which deal with the activity of the publishing houses of the region and have not been published, are coined. Newspaper materials of the 10-th of 20th century, that cover the conditions of work in the publishing houses, lithographs, binderies ("Trud", "Golos Yuga" etc.) and the details of the judicial case between the Yelysavethrad publishers V. Lapidus and M. Goldenberg are collected and systemized. The bookselling in Yelysavethrad region is explored and described, the peculiarities of outdoor advertising in Yelysavethrad are analyzed, the main features of advertising of publishing houses and reviews in the newspapers are characterized.
