Tytenko O. Nature of Economic and Social Contradictions of Information Society

The thesis is devoted to identify and systematize economic and social contradictions of industrial, post-industrial and information society, also the key principles and the tools for mitigating these contradictions are determined. There has been brought to light the essence of the post-industrial society in the coordinate system of the modern political economy. There has been considered information and knowledge as key categories of the information type of economy and society. There has been ascertained the main stages of the information society and the dialectics of transformation of the economic and the social contradictions in the economic system of the twentieth century. There has been estimated the basic economic and social contradictions as prerequisites of information society formation. There has been analyzed economic policy in the conditions of information society formation and the contradictions in the implementation of this policy. This thesis analyzes the current state of the information economy in Ukraine, its problems and possibilities for further development. On the basis of this analysis it is concluded that Ukraine does not remain in the side from the processes of informatization, in recent years the country has created the necessary prerequisites and conditions for the formation and development of the foundations of the information society and information economy.
