Halchenko O. Teaching English Language Writing for Specific Purposes to College Students of Tour Management

The thesis focuses on the problem of teaching English language writing for specific purposes to college students of tour management. The research provides theoretical substantiation of the methodology of teaching English language writing for specific purposes to college students of tour management: psychological characteristics of college students are defined, linguistic peculiarities of English-language tourism discourse are presented, active technologies for teaching English language writing are analyzed. The content of teaching is detailed, the subsystem of exercises to develop skills in creating English language writing for specific purposes is worked out. The experimental teaching has proved the validity of the suggested methodology; its optimal edition is substantiated. Methodological recommendations to teachers for organizing teaching English language writing for specific purposes to college students of tour management have been developed and applied in practice in Ukrainian colleges.
