Lastovka O. Constitutional and legal regulation of the institution of the referendum in Ukraine

Constitutional and legal regulation of the institution of the referendum is studied. Periodization and traces the development of the institute of referendum in Ukrainian and world political and legal thought are developed. Theoretical and practical definition of the categories of "referendum", "local referendum" and the expediency of their official interpretation are improved. The essence and perspective of the transformation of the system of legislative and secondary legal and regulatory framework of ensuring the functioning of the institution of the referendum in our country is disclosed, which, as a result, leads to the classification of the relevant sources, basic law processes and problems of legal regulation and a formulation of a vision of the organization and implementation of further lawmaking.
