The thesis focuses its attention towards the development and the experimental verification of methods applied to teaching stylistic requirements for academic writing to students doing their Master's Degrees in Physics according to contemporary requirements. The objectives and the content of learning have been characterized in detail; the essence of the notion "stylistic requirement" has been defined more accurately; the notions of generic structure, linguistic and stylistic characteristics of academic texts as well as the general view of the basic components, strategies and features of academic discourse have been discussed and defined; the aspects of difficulties Master's students majoring in Physics face while dealing with English academic writing have been investigated; the factors to eliminate these difficulties have been suggested; the core psycholinguistic and methodological principles of author's technique have been defined by highlighting the key areas of agreement between them; the essence and the structure of the key concepts and components of the considering problems have been revealed.
