Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to the study of the spreading, to the methods of diagnostics and treatment of young cattle affected by Eimeria spp.. New data spreading of eimeriosis of calves in a farm Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions of Ukraine were received. Nine species of Eimeria (Eimeria bovis, E. ellipsoidalis, E. zuernii, E. cylindrica, E. canadensis, E. auburnensis, E. brasiliensis, E. bucidnonensis and E. wyomingensis) in calves are detected. Species such as Еimeria сanadensis, Е. аuburnensis, Е. вrasiliensis, Е. wyomingensis and Е. bucidnonensis were discovered in calves in Ukraine for the first time. Eimeria spp. in association with two, three, rarely four species of parasites such as Moniezia benedeni, Neoascaris vitulorum, intestinal helminthes suborder Strongylata, ?richuris bovis and Capillaria bovis and monoinvasions were found in young cattle within the northwest of Ukraine. Intensity and extensiveness of infestation was determined. The high intensity of the invasion in calves 2-4 months of age was established. Pathological and histological changes in the body of the dead forced young cattle were analyzed. Laboratory methods of diagnostics of eimeriosis were improved and developed. For the diagnostics of eimeriosis in calves is suggested to use "Intravital method for detection of eimeriosis in animals", "Conservation method of Eimeria oocysts and helminthes eggs" and "Poster for diagnostics of eimeriosis of cattle". Efficiency of the process of sporulation of the different species of Eimeria was studied and specified. E. zuernii, E. cylindrica, E. canadensis and E. bucidnonensis (by V. M. Mironenko, 2004, 2007, 2014) were cultivated for the first time in Ukraine. High efficacy of Baycox 5 % is proved. A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of Baycox 5 % and complex sulfonamide drugs of Ukrainian producer for affected by Eimeria spp. calves has been carried out. For the treatment and eimeriosis control is suggested to use guidance "Prevention and control eimeriosis of cattle".
