Poltavets Y. Lexico-semantic Manifestations of Language Attraction in Ukrainian Journalistic Texts at the Beginning of the XXI Century

In the dissertation linguistic status of attraction as language and speech phenomenon іs specified. Interpretation of the term at all language levels according to different linguistic approaches, including modern synergistic was found. The concepts of attraction and interference, expansion, synsemantic words are differentiated. Paradigmatic and syntagmatic types of the functioning of attraction were analyzed. It was found that synonymic, paronymic and antonymic attractions are kinds of lexico-semantic attraction. The centers of synonymic attraction, patterns of antonymic attraction and types of paronimic attraction in Ukrainian journalistic texts at the beginning of the XXI century were distinguished. Рragmatic and stylistic functions of lexico-semantic attraction in journalistic texts were analyzed.
