Stetsiuk I. The sociocultural principles for harmonious transformation of urban environment

The purpose of research - to develop theoretical base and sociocultural principles for harmonious transformation of urban environment. The object of research - the urban environment. The subject of research - the sociocultural principles for harmonious transformation of urban environment. Methods: critical analysis, comparative analysis, semantic analysis, survey, zoning, visualization of the state of urban environment, figuratively-graphical analysis of survey data, matrix representation, theoretical modeling, structurally-logical analysis, proportioning. The scientific novelty: the concept "harmonious transformation of the urban environment" was theoretically substantiated as the whole direction of research; the sociocultural measuring of the characteristics of attractiveness and integrity of the urban environment was elaborated first time, according to type created environmental characteristics (ranges of loading, limits of functional capacity, ranges of quality, integrated sustainability); the universal planning units - "destinations" (the whole creations depending on theirs location and purpose) and "caesuras" (scrapie-links and boundaries) were discovered; the classification of the existing types of the urban environment transformation was improved and their planning content was clarified according to the actualization of basic urban processes (formation, functioning, development and self-reproduction); the sociocultural principles of the urban environment harmonious transformation were formulated: the principle of congruence, fractality, heterogeneity and consolidation; the technological scheme of implementation of harmonious transformation of urban environment with usage of existing planning methods (analysis, assessment and synthesis) was further developed. The results of research are introduced in the design work, educational process of preparation of architects and competitive design.
