Essay

It was established that the strains B. amyloliquefaciens IMV B-7513 and IMV B-7525 synthesize carotenoids, which located in a complex of lipids and carbohydrates. Among pigments were identified apo-8'-phytofluen, apo-8'-zeta-carotene, apo-8'-neurosporene and apo-8'-beta-caroten-3-ol (provitamin A). The pigments synthesis by strains B. amyloliquefaciens IMV B-7513 and IMV B-7525 began at the end of the exponential growth phase of cultures at periodic submerged cultivation. The maximal rate of carotenoids was determined in the middle of stationary phase and at the beginning of aging phase. Investigated strains characterized by probiotic features: antagonist activity against opportunistic microorganisms, resistance to low pH and high concentrations of bile and bile acids, low adhesive and high enzymatic activity. Oral administration of strains B. amyloliquefaciens IMV B-7513 and IMV B-7525 to test animals induced normalization of qualitative and quantitative composition of intestinal microbiota in mice and birds, restoration of their organs microstructure, the accumulation of vitamin A in the liver, activation of cellular immunity.
