Mikhaylenko V. Hygienic assessment of the impact of ecological environmental factors on the health of children in rural areas of southern Ukraine.

The thesis directed at solving of actual scientific problem - substantiation of prophylactic measures of negative impact of harmful ecological environmental factors on the health of children in rural areas of southern Ukraine on the basis of a comprehensive hygienic assessment of these factors. The established areas of high environmental risk in the Odessa region. Determined that the main environmental risk factors are unfavorable salt composition of drinking water (high mineralization (2.5 g / L), total hardness (equivalent to 14.0 mg / L), chloride content (up to 450 mg / l) and sulfate (up to 560 mg / l) fluoride (3.2 mg / l) and nitrates (125 mg / l) of vegetables nitrate pollution (2-5 MAC), and high levels of soil contamination by heavy metals. Measures of prevention of negative impact of the ecological environmental factors to the health of the child population were substantiated. They envisage mainly the identification and systematization of sources of pollution, setting and monitoring standards of maximum permissible harmful effects, that provide safe and favorable living environment; development, planning and organization of practical implementation measures for the prevention, reduction and elimination of the harmful effects of environmental factors; monitoring, supervision and control of realization measures taken and their efficiency and forecasting of children's health with the influence of environmental factors on the human organism.
