Bakunets P. Efficiency evaluation of surgical treatment of tumors with lesions into major vessels

The thesis is devoted to actual scientific problem, its solution will simplify the selection of patients for radical surgery, expand the indications for resection of pancreas, increase radical surgery, improve diagnostics and results of surgical treatment of patients by establishing clear indications for a specific type of surgery depending on the morphological nature of the tumor, its type, degree and level of destruction of major vessels. This study is based on the analysis of the survey results, treatment and observation of 84 patients with malignant tumors of pancreas with in the main vessel. The paper studied the frequency and nature of vascular invasion by the most informative methods of instrumental diagnostics, development screenings for the type of operation depending on the type, level and extent of vascular invasion. The analysis of the efficiency of surgical treatment of patients by assessing early and long-term outcomes of patients in each subgroup. Early results of treatment include duration of surgery, extent of blood loss during surgery, the frequency and nature of postoperative complications, the incidence and causes of relaparotomy , the number of post-operative bed - day, postoperative mortality . Distancing results incorporate 1-, 3- and 5 -year survival rate, median living and quality of life of patients
