The thesis is devoted to actual scientific problem, the solution of which will improve the results of surgical treatment of focal liver pathology. Based on the results of this study there were developed treatment and surveillance of 370 patients with focal liver pathology. All possible factors of acute liver failure have been determined that resulted in three groups attribution, depending on what treatment stage they arise (preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative). Acute liver failure prediction algorithm has been developed using first proposed resection factor that allowed basically combining volume calculation function and residual parenchyma. A tactic for preventive measures of acute liver failure has been proposed that is divided into three groups (preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative) with relevant factors of acute liver failure. The above mentioned tactic resulted in reduction patients' quantity with blood loss above 2 litres by 5.5%. The occurrence of postoperative complications, the development of post resection of liver failure, postoperative mortality have been decreased by 10,1%, 17,5%, 4% respectively.
