Essay

The object of the research is air pollution emissions of the thermal power plants from the combustion of coal. The aim is to improve the environmental safety in urban areas air pollution emissions of the thermal power plants due to the identification of chemical and radiological constituents in assessment of ecological risk. Methods of research: mathematical statistics, system analysis, mathematical modeling and forecasting, nuclear - physical methods in the proton accelerator for the determing the elemental composition of the sample of fly ash. Theoretical and practical results: in the course of researches is improved the process of assessment of ecological risk of air pollution emissions of chemical gases and particulate matter from the combustion of coal; developed recommendations aimed to improving the environmental safety of the thermal power plants of Ukraine. Scientific novelty: first developed the method complex assessment of the environmental risk will be allowed to take account the effects of chemical gaseous compounds and particulate matter, as well as their components in air pollution; first theoretically substantiated and established the coefficients for the assessment of environmental risk of chemical gaseous compounds and particulate matter, as well as their components; first defined contribution components of particulate matter in ambient air and the formation of environmental risk; improved algorithm integrated assessment of environmental risk, taking into account the impact of emissions of chemical non-carcinogenics, carcinogens and radioactive substances TPP in the air; improved mathematical model of evaluation of environmental risk exposure to chemical gaseous compounds and particulate matter; it was further developed scientific substantiation of environmental measures aimed at improving the environmental safety of thermal power plants and to reduce environmental risk. The results of dissertation are recommended to thermal power plants of Ukraine; to Regional Departments of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
