This dissertation researches theoretical basis of instruments for agricultural land protection and management in the context of sustainable environmental management (use of natural resources). The mechanism of instruments applying for management and protection of agricultural land use was improved. The model of impact of institutional environment for applying instruments for management and protection of agricultural land use in agricultural enterprises was substantiated. The methodical approach to assessing the impact of the institutional environment for the use of instruments management and protection land-use entities in agriculture had been proved. The methodical approach to determining of using instruments for management and protection of agricultural land use was developed. Priority measures which ensure the maintenance of scientifically based crop rotation on agricultural land in agricultural enterprises of various types was identified and systematized. The model of alternative regional strategies of organization and protection of agricultural land was proved. Practical approaches to stimulation of measures for management and protection of agricultural land were improved.
