Philippova T. City as a sociocultural space: the philosophically-anthropological analysis

The objective of the study is the space of urban culture; the goal is a determination of ontoantropological characteristics of the city as a life world of a modern man based on systematic, cultural-anthropological and socio-anthropological analysis; the methods used are phenomenological, hermeneutical, historical-genetic, comparative, anthropological interpretations, anthropological reduction, the methodology of system-theoretical analysis; the novelty is the implementation of philosophical and anthropological conceptualisation of city as a dynamic sociocultural space, where the creation and selection of forms of intensive human creative life take place; the results are as follows: identification of the functional capacity of sociocultural space of the city, the establishment of trends of its transformation in the late modernity; the materials can be used in the working out the programs and strategies for the development of urban culture and projects of spiritual renewal of Ukrainian society, in the writing of study guides on topical issues of philosophical anthropology and philosophy of culture, in teaching social and humanity subjects, special courses on philosophical anthropology; specialization is the Philosophical Anthropology and the Philosophy of Culture.
