Essay

In the first part of the thesis the investigation results on structure, morphology, electrical, photoelectric and optical properties of Cd(Zn)Te semiconductors, subjected to chemical processing and action with nanosecond laser pulses, are reported. Particular attention is paid to the method of laser-induced solid phase doping of a surface layer of high resistivity p-like CdTe crystals using a relatively thick (300-400 nm) In dopant film preliminary evaporated in vacuum on the sample surface. The second part of the dissertation work is devoted to the development of thermoelectric stabilizers (thermocoolers) for temperature stabilization, particularly nuclear detectors.
