Khomenska I. Verbalization of the concept "Ukraine" in Ukrainian belles-lettres discourse

The author provided the first in modern Ukrainian linguistics analysis of the concept "Ukraine". The study demonstrated that the concept "Ukraine" is a multifaceted, polyfunctional and hierarchical structure. The structure of the concept (and its components) confirms a connection between lexical nomination methods and extralinguistic reality, its reflection in Ukrainian mentality. The author justified the dynamic nature of the concept, its complex structure, which includes notional, figurative-connotative-perceptive and value components. The study demonstrated that the concept “Ukraine” is a multifaceted, polyfunctional and hierarchical structure.
