Merkotan L. Precedent texts in the system of intertextuality

The paper summarizes the results of contemporary investigations of intertextuality and precedency in linguistics. The means of the intertextuality are determined. The intertextual nomination has been defined as the usage of the proper names in the analysed discourse. The correlation between the categories of intertextuality and precedency has been made. The means of the precedent texts actualization have been determined. Special attention has been paid to the national and temporal classifications of the precedent texts in the modern Ukrainian prose discourse as they give an opportunity to clear up the precedent texts appliance to the certain linguocultural community and to ascertain the value orientations of the modern Ukrainian reader.
