The paper presents the results of study ing and substantiation of the effect of different mulch types on the growth, development and quality of apple planting trees in the conditions of the Right Bank Ukraine Western Lisosteppe, and also the economic estimation of the planting trees growing has been made depending on the mulching influence. Most effective mulch materials, on the level of profitability, are humus (0,5 layer) + sawdust (0,5 layer) and peat (0,5 layer) + sawdust (0,5 layer).
