For the first time in the national legal literature, given a comprehensive analysis of consumer protection in a contract for electricity supply. Determined the essence, the legal nature, and formed a detailed description of the contract. Developed a complete theoretical positions of legal regulation of relations mediated by the contract for electricity supply to individual consumers through the connected network and consumer protection of that contract. Particular attention is paid to the legal status of the contracting parties and to emphasize the peculiarities of conclusion and implementation of this contract. Thesis there is determined the rights of electricity consumers, defined and improved the existing forms and procedures to protect consumers rights under the contract for electricity supply. Emphasized the specific methods of protection of consumer rights under the contract for electricity supply, and the mechanism of their realization. Features of involvement of the supplier to civil responsibility for violation of the contract for electricity supply are found out.
