Objekt: the works of modern Ukrainian writers Valery Shevchuk, Galyna Pahutyak and other Ukrainian writers. Aim: to study the characteristics of the reception and interpretation of the Gothic in Ukrainiann prose of the late XXth - early XX1th centuries. Methods: typological, historical-genetical, phenomenological. Scientific novelty: the comprehensive study of the reception of Gothic prose by Valery Shevchuk and Galyna Pahutiak that makes it possible to trace the features of implementation of Gothic motivs in the works of other Ukrainian writers. Approved in 9 publications. The sphere of use: literature and high sckool practice.
