Essay

The thesis addresses the problem of creating theoretical and algorithmic foundations of the production systems development with the minimal cost of the inference by the measures of performance and / or resource intensity. The formalisation of the Treat match algorithm was developed in terms of first-order logic to create formal principles for the comparison of basic match methods. The experimental software environment was proposed to determine the optimal match algorithm for the current application. CLIPS production system shell was improved by the implementation of Treat match algorithm for the development of applied expert systems with minimal usage of memory and time resources.
