Essay

Research objekt is a process of determining the technical and economic parameters of hybrid locomotives. Research was conducted with the use of method of observation (timekeeping), theoretical, empirical research, theory of locomotive traction, mathematical modeling, system approach, expert method with the use of sets theory, mathematical statistics and reliability theory. The results of of the dissertation allow us to identify new ways to improve technical and economic parameters of hybrid locomotives and they can be used in predicting the structure of locomotive fleet in the early stages of design and for planning actions for the modernization of the existing park.
