Essay

The thesis deals with complex research issues of legal regulation of charity in European countries with a particular focus on private aspects. The author studied the concept, the legal framework and legal status of subjects of charitable activities in European countries, including Ukraine. A particular attention is paid to the analysis of the private law regulation peculiarities of charities in the national legislation of European countries taking into account their affiliation to Anglo-Saxon or Roman-Germanic systems of law. The trends in the development of a unified legal regulation of charitable activities in the EU were separately analyzed. The author identified the best European practice and proposed reception (full or partial) of certain provisions in the national legislation of Ukraine.
