The thesis is complemented and improved theoretical and methodological foundations of historical and geographical landscape science and research specific anthropogenic landscapes - fortification; analysis of spatiotemporal factors of their origin and development of the example of a region - skirts. Based on the research landscape structure fortification landscapes held their typological classification with regard to their existing structure of specific landscapes. With detailed analysis landscape view the available materials on defensive structures and their importance in the structure of modern landscapes separate region - skirts. Identified and analyzed the general and regional factors fortofication landscapes of formation and stages of learning. Thesis there is determined and justified the presence of regional combinations fortification landscapes. A zoning of the fortification landscapes has been made for the purpose of optimization and management.
