Object of investigation – displays exogenous processes as a threat to environmental safety of Carpathian region. Subject of investigation – the methods of ecological and geological risk assessment for natural and man-made component factors of exogenous processes. Research methods – to study the natural and man-made component factors and their ecological and geological evaluation had used methods of physical and mathematical modeling, laboratory experimental studies using modern equipment. To calculate the factor characteristics and risk mapping used GIS software. Statistical analysis of the results of research conducted correlation and regression methods and cluster analysis using software packages. The degree of implementation – implemented the method of forecasting of landslides, mudflows, karst for natural and technological components to assess the ecological and geological risk in the Department of Emergencies and Affairs of Population Protection from the Consequences of Chornobyl Catastrophe of Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration.
