Object - B. Poplavsk's novel "Apollon Bezobrazov". Purpose - determination of specifics of B. Poplavsky's novel "Apollon Bezobrazov" in the context of art searches of an era. Methods - descriptive, historical, genetic, comparative, typological and intertextual analysis. In the thesis an attempt to characterize B. Poplavsky's novel "Apollon Bezobrazov" in the context of ideological and art searches of Russian Immigration literature of 1920 - 1930 is for the first time made. In dissertation specifics of the novel are considered, the history of its creation and publication is comprehended, the textual problems connected with definition of "the main text" are formulated and the distinctions between two editions which have affected features of composition of the novel in the last edition are revealed, the poetics and functions of epigraphs which have appeared in the second edition of the novel are analysed, features of colours and sounds are defined. Thanks to B. Poplavsky's awareness in the Western European literature, philosophy, art, religion he created the novel in which ideas, motives, and also separate elements of the writing of representatives of various philosophical and art currents were reflected.
