Essay

The object of the research is the process of formation of the depository system of Ukraine in terms of stock market development. The aim of the research is theoretical substantiation and development of scientific-methodical and practical recommendations on improvement of the institutional model of the depository system of Ukraine in accordance with the requirements of the development of the stock market. The methods of this research are: a functional approach and the historical method, the abstract-logical method and methodology of the hierarchical approach, system approach, methods of classification and generalization, methods of econometric analysis, comparative analysis, normative method. The scientific novelty of the research includes the justification of the theoretical foundations and scientific-methodical positions on the improvement of the institutional model of the depository system of Ukraine with considering of the needs and characteristics of the development of the stock market. There have been improved: the conceptual development of the institutional model of the depository system of Ukraine; functional management approach based on the identification of the activities of depository institutions qualifying (mandatory) and additional (service) functions; analytical system of evaluation of the infrastructure of the stock market based on the definition of key indicators; scientific and methodical approach to the interaction of depository and exchange systems.
