Nikolaychuk H. The features of the sports and politics interconnection.

In the dissertation research the features of sports and politics interconnection are examined. With the help of Bruno Latour's actor-network theory the main dimensions of sports and politics interconnection - instrumental and functional, that are found in such aspects: (1) sport as a political resource; (2) sport and the language of politics and war; (3) sport in construction of national identity; (4) sport and globalization; (5) sport as a space of protest; (6) sport as an instrument of soft power in the context of smart power strategy. The mechanism of non-political - political transformation / sports capital into political capital is determined. By this background the author's model of sports and politics interconnection in Ukraine, that bases on 3 levels sports sphere / sport space and political system / politia - micro-, meso-, macrolevel, is proposed.
