The thesis is devoted to a comprehensive comparative legal study of the place and role of Constitutional Justice in Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania. The paper outlines the general characteristics and analyses the main doctrinal approaches to the definition of the Constitutional Justice in Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania, on the basis of which peculiar improved definitions of the notions "Justice" and "Constitutional Justice" are proposed. The genesis of the development of Constitutional Justice in Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania is studied and as the result of that the principal stages of its formation and development are established. The paper considers from the comparative perspective the powers, the organizational and legal forms of activities and the problematic issues of acts of the Constitutional Courts of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania. In the paper the contemporary problems of Constitutional Justice in Ukraine, as well as the prospects and directions of their resolution are studied. Specific proposals for the improvement of the constitutional and legal regulation of organization and activities of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine are formulated.
