Essay

The thesis is considering theoretical approaches to defining the essence of the concept of agricultural resource potential of regions and identified key provisions of its restoration and preservation in industrial-disturbed lands, the negative impact which confirmed statistically (in 2014 the total area of disturbed land exceeded 156 thousand. ha with the highest prevalence at 17% of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Luhansk regions of Ukraine, where almost a third of total resident population). Conceptual bases of formation of sustainable land use systems have been granted based on the involvement of environmental and economic mechanisms to restore the potential of agricultural resource on disturbed land. Theoretical and methodological approaches were Improved to the estimation of anthropogenic load and environmental stability levels of the region by expanding the scale and detail of the assessment scale and renovate of the method. On this base the ecological and economic various states assessments were conducted of the current situation of agricultural land in Ukraine in Zhytomyr region. The use of enhanced scale evaluation reduces the values of environmental sustainability by more than 6% (indicator for human activity - an increase of almost 5.5%). The use of an extended evaluation scale will help increase conservative estimates and lowers the level of uncertainty of the results, that increases their accuracy. By calculation proved that the current level of anthropogenic impact on the territory of Ukraine is higher than by using a previous version of the scale, because the area land categories with the highest coefficient of environmental sustainability is shrinking. This approach promotes except simple detalisation of calculations, more accurate development of environmental programs and of measures to restore natural resource potential.
