Benatov D. Environmental and technical safety systematic analysis for Ukrainian hydropower plants

The thesis is devoted to systematic analysis of environmental and technical safety of Ukrainian hydropower plants in the context of 18 major facilities. The work classifies ETS threats to hydropower plants and measures of prevention thereof, a corresponding hierarchical structure is proposed. Expert evaluations were used to: rank ETS threats for each research object, calculate integral index of danger (IID) and verify basic facilities of studied hydropower plants as of their compliance of their consequences importance classes. Systematized data obtained from state and local authorities enabled determining value of plants' positive impact on the energy, economic and social spheres and corresponding integral impact indicator (III). The attempt to compile passports of 18 major Ukrainian hydropower plants and geographic information system "Hydropower plants of Ukraine" software are presented in the thesis.
