Takyun C. Individual psychological and gender characteristics of adolescents suffering from atopic dermatitis

The object of research: the personality of adolescents suffering from atopic dermatitis. The purpose of the work: to determine individual psychological and gender characteristics of adolescents suffering from atopic dermatitis. Methods: theoretical (analysis, classification, generalization), empirical (interviews, questionnaires, testing, method of expert estimations), mathematical-statistical. Scientific novelty: the thesis is devoted to the study of individually-psychological and gender-specific characteristics of adolescents with atopic dermatitis; established gender-specific characteristics of attitude to the disease, and that regardless of gender in adolescence, often found mixed type of attitude to the disease, and lack of harmonious attitude; described structural features of dermatological quality of life; described the personal characteristics of adolescents that with atopic dermatitis; was found, that girls are more psychologically vulnerable to the disease; described emotional structure of teenagers with atopic dermatitis; described self-attitude peculiarities of adolescents with atopic dermatitis; researched gender mindsets peculiarities of adolescents with atopic dermatitis. Practical value: developed psychocorrection program for adolescents with atopic dermatitis, proved its effectiveness. The effect of the introduction is high. The areas of use: higher education institutions, medical institutions, psychological services.
