The main aspects and peculiarities of legal regulation of land relations in Taurian province (1783 – 1917) are highlighted in this research. The guidelines of land policy of the Russian Empire in the region are revealed, its influence on the original inhabitants as well as on other nationals of Crimea is analysed. The main directions of land property redistribution in Crimea after the annexation of the Crimean Khanate are singled out. The author researches the nature of the Continental and Moslem (Mohammedan) law unification and its consequences for land relations legal regulation. The differences in the land sphere in the Crimean Khanate and Taurian province are established. The sources of the land legislation in Taurian province are characterized as well as their mutual influence and peculiarities of law application. The kinds of the right of land ownership subjects are analysed together with its acquisition methods and legal protection. Particularities of reforming realization in the land relations sphere (in the second half of 19th – early XX th century) after the Peasant and Stolypin reforms are highlighted. Relationships of cause and effect that stipulated the dynamics of land legal relations development are determined.7452
