Essay

Thesis deals with investigation the modern theory of lobbyism, which is reflected in the concepts of interest groups, pressure groups, pluralism, corporatism and neo-corporatism, network theory, institutional change. The use of neo-institutional, structural and functional approaches and networking allowed to specify the essence of the category "lobbying", which can be defined as a system of purposeful influence of certain social groups in the power structures in order to satisfy their own interests with the help of influence on the decision of the latter. It is shown that in contemporary political science considered lobbying in three main forms: as a political institution, political activities, an informal political practices. A detailed description of the main features of lobbying as a political institution, and the basic mechanisms of regulation of lobbying.
