Vovchenko O. Archetype of Ukrainian society as a determinative of self-definition of nation (safety measuring)

The thesis is devoted to solving the problem of the influence of authentic ethnic archetypes on the formation of national identity in the context of national security. The thesis defines the status of a problem and approaches to its study. Theoretically substantiated model of ethnic Ukrainians as the archetype of the titular ethnic group of the country. Factors and conditions of its formation, described the features and specific impact on the ethnic identity and the security of the nation. It describes the state of national security in the context of research archetypal Ukrainian society and its interaction with the contradictory processes of modernization in the context of globalization. Some of the traditions and values of the Ukrainian culture is largely behind the dynamic, urban present, sometimes giving rise to difficult choices in discursive practices: or modernization of society and culture, or the erosion of national identity.
