Pohorila L. Relations of consumption in economic system

Dissertation is devoted to research of theoretical and methodological aspects of the relations of consumption in economic system. The thesis contents the analysis of conceptual approaches to individual consumption. We study the methodological grounds of social and economic analysing the content of consumption. The consumerism is dominant model of individual consumption in the modern market economy. We detected the reasons and motives of consumerism, methods of its stimulation, forms, and social aspects. The consumption is globalising, which is understandable as the internationalization of informal institutions (customs, rules of day-to-day behaviour). We developed a conceptual model of a socially responsible consumption. The author's analysis of the current trends in individual consumption in Ukraine found trends in different vectors: impact of globalization consumers and emergence of new forms of consumption; deterioration of quantitative and qualitative parameters of individual consumption; increased differentiation trends in individual consumption. The author provided foundation for approaches in strategic priorities and incentives to private consumption in Ukraine.
