Essay

In the thesis, based on the established patterns of the dissociation zone changes considering the proportion of the rock inclusions contained in the deposit, the new pressing problem of the substantiation of the technology parameters of the gas hydrates deposits development with heterogeneous structure is solved. The above represents an important scientific and practical outcome for the efficient extraction of methane from the Black Sea gas hydrates deposits. Regularities of the natural gas hydrates deposits decomposition with methane extraction depending on the content of the rock particles on the basis of analytical and laboratory experimental studies are revealed. It is found, that the effective time of the gas hydrates deposit with heterogeneous structure dissociation process changes by the exponential dependence on the radius of its decomposition zone which increases with the decrease of the rock particles inclusions. Considering the mentioned dependency enables to ensure the stable discharge of the operating wells when mining the gas hydrates deposits with the subsequent forecast of their laying. The costs of the thermal energy required to obtain 1000 m3 of the methane gas, which enlarge by the parabolic dependence with the increase of rock particles inclusions in the gas hydrates deposit, are estimated. This gave the opportunity to develop a classification of the gas hydrates deposits with heterogeneous structure based on the energy costs depending on the inclusion fractions. Recommendations for the development of the gas hydrates deposits containing rock inclusions are elaborated for the Scientific and Research and Design Institute - Public Company "Ukrnafta". It has been established that the prime cost for extraction of 1000 m3 of methane based on the technology proposed is from 1.2 up to 8 times less (depending on the proportion of rock inclusions in a gas hydrate input) than the cost of methane ex-traction from existing gas fields on land. Profit from selling the gas extracted, using the proposed innovative technology of development of gas hydrate deposits of heterogeneous structure, amounts from $12.11 mln (at 60 percent of rock inclusions in the deposits) up to $1327.63 mln (pure gas hydrate deposit which does not contain rock inclusions).
