. Object - financial mechanism for the implementation of environmental policy. Purpose - theoretical and methodological studies and develop scientific and practical recommendations for improving financial mechanism for the implementation of environmental policy in Ukraine. Methods - logical generalization of abstraction, system-structural analysis; comparative and statistical analyzes; Statistical and factor analysis. Results - study of theoretical and methodological foundations and provide practical recommendations to improve the financial mechanism for implementing environmental policy. Novelty - expediency of introducing a new instrument implementing environmental policy - Environmental indemnity - payment, aimed at environmental protection from losses to compensate for damages to the environment, which will allow entities to encourage the development of long-term ecological production through the introduction of eco-technologies; The theoretical approaches to the formation of a financial mechanism for implementing environmental policies, which, unlike the existing ones, focuses on the legal regulation of distribution and use of funds, allowing you to upgrade public policy regulation and promotion of resource conservation; improved scientific and methodological approaches to the process of levying environmental tax in determining the cost of water consumption (special use), which proposed to implement in three stages: 1) the scope and terms of water use block-based progression system; 2) determine the amount of environmental tax; 3) determine the market value of the water component, this will set the environmental tax at a level that corresponds to the actual volume of water consumption; further developed mechanism for lending development projects environmental business by introducing additional criteria for assessing the creditworthiness of the borrower; further developed theoretical and methodological approaches to environmental security projects based on insurance against the risk of failure to achieve projected environmental effects. It was introduced in the Kherson Regional State Administration, additional liability «Tsyurupynsk Creamery» Limited Liability Company «Auto-Electromash» and to the educational process of Nova Kakhovka Polytechnic Institute, Kherson National Technical University and Ternopil National Economic University.
