Results of research of pathogenetic features of the functional renal reserve phasing in the development of chronic kidney disease in patients with diabetes types І and ІІ have been presented in the dissertation. It was established that the severity of glomerulosclerosis in acting nephrons with decreased functioning parenchyma mass in patients with diabetes do not always correlate with the stage of chronic kidney disease, the appearance of albuminuria and changes in volumo-, iono- osmoregulatory kidney function, due to the presence of renal functional reserve, and this meaning that proper and timely nephroprotection can possibly renew the renal function.
