Essay

The problem of combined inclined motion of reservoir with liquid on pendulum suspension under kinematic disturbance and impulse and periodic external loading is considered in the thesis. Nonlinear model involving 12 normal modes of free surfaced liquid is developed for this class of problems. Peculiarities of redistribution of energy between normal modes of liquid oscillations and different modes of motion in the system and manifestation of nonlinear effects depending on the length of pendulum suspension are specified. Changes of normal frequencies of the system depending on the length of pendulum suspension are studied. The obtained numerical results are compared with laboratory experiment.
