The research is dedicated to reducing the incidence of obstetric and perinatal pathology by improving treatment and prevention among pregnant women with preeclampsia in combination with iodine deficiency. The studies identified the role of iodine deficiency in the development of preeclampsia and placental dysfunction. It was noted that the development of preeclampsia in pregnant women living in areas with natural iodine deficiency of Transcarpathia is earlier and heavier in progress. The important role in the development of preeclampsia against the background of iodine deficiency belongs to the increase of lipid peroxidation and reduction of the antioxidant defense system, which contributes to imbalance of cell biomembranes and thus the development of chronic placental insufficiency. It is proved that in pregnant women with preeclampsia on the background of thyroid pathology, the violation of placenta fetalization processes appears in I trimester of pregnancy and development of clinical symptoms in II - III trimesters. Designed and implemented in maternity homes range of therapeutic and preventive measures allowed to reduce fetal distress by 1.9 times, fetal growth retardation - by 2,3 times, hypoxic encephalopathy - by 1.3 times, vegetative-visceral dysfunction - by 1,4 times, hemorrhagic syndrome - by 1,2 times.
