Essay

The object - retraditionalism as a socio-political phenomenon. The objective is to determine the nature of retraditionalism as a factor of states' transformation in modern political processes, in accordance with modern trends of globalization. The study employs the historical, comparative, modeling and other methods. The theoretical and practical results obtained are a comprehensive theoretical and methodological analysis of the transformation processes in the countries of the former Soviet Union and the feasibility of implementing of retraditionalism as a factor of states' transformation. The novelty lies in the author's definition of "retraditionalism" as a factor of states' transformation; the positive and negative factors of retraditionalism substantiated; retraditionalism indicators determined; defined arguments concerning the effectiveness of the implementation retraditionalism as a factor of states' transformation; the prospects for further development trends of the post-Soviet states outlined. The rate of implementation consists in the specific recommendations on the formation of the state creative strategies for the effective implementation of constructive retraditionalism and successful democratization of various spheres of public life in modern Ukraine. The scope of application covers the activity of power structures, political and public organizations.
