Objekt: the artistic prose of I. Franko. Aim: the analysis of features of artistic embodiment of the jewish problem in prose works by I. Franko. Methods: culturally-historical, hermeneutical, comparative-typological, semiotical, biographical. Scientific novelty: at first in Ukrainian literary criticism the complex investigation of I. Franko's artistic prose was accomplished in the context of socio-historical situation in late XIX - early XXth centuries Galicia and the theoretical views of the writer. Approved in 11 publications.
