The object is a historical and philosophical context of the formation and development of the doctrine of Bernard of Clairvaux. The aim is the reconstruction of the productive doctrine concepts of Bernard of Clairvaux in a meaningful update of the European philosophical space. The methods are problem, comparative, logical, systematic, hermeneutic, phenomenological analysis. The study of ideological and theoretical origins of philosophical and theological worldview St. Bernard is determined that the theoretical sources of the formation of his teachings, along with Scriptures are the works of authors in Early Christian monasticism, Eastern and Latin patristic.
