Milian I. Pharmacognostic analysis of herbs from Veronica genus

The object - complete pharmacognostic investigation of plant raw material of three species of the Veronica L. genus; the purpose - performance of the comprehensive pharmacognostic investigation of herbs of the Veronica prostrata L., V. chamaedrys L. and V. officinalis L. and development of pharmaceutical substances based on their biologically active substances; methods - physical, physico-chemical, chemical, resources studies, morphological and anatomical, technological, pharmacological, statistical; results - qualitative composition of the biologically active substances of Veronica officinalis L., V. prostrata L. and V. chamaedrys L. have been analyzed and their qualitative content have been determined; macro and micro diagnostic features of the investigated plant raw materials have been determined; the optimal technology of the obtaining of dry extract from Veronica officinalis L. herb has been developed; safety of the obtained extract has been elucidated after the acute toxicity investigation; the anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities of dry Veronica herb's extract have been determined; based on the performed phenological researches, the optimal conditions for Veronica officinalis L. development in cultivation have been detected; introduced - into the practice of the quality control laboratory of the territory department of the State Administration on medicinal products and control after narcotics in Ternopyl region and scientifically research work and educational processes of the departments of higher educational institutions; direction - pharmacy.
