Rymkina M. Managing socio-economic development of the Ukrainian energy sector enterprises.

The thesis is to expand theoretical and methodological background of and come up with practical recommendations on improving management of the socio-economic development of the Ukrainian energy sector enterprises. The use is made of the conceptual and categorical apparatus to establish the concept: "socio-economic development of an enterprise". The study expounds the author's model, which generalizes the scheme to manage the enterprise socio-economic development. Mutual influence and interdependence of socio-economic development and the efficiency of enterprises are proved to be related directly to the individual constituents of the socioeconomic development, namely the social, economic and environmental components. The evaluation indicator system was further developed, that allows comparing alike enterprises by 24 relative indicators of development and, as a result of the analysis, to identify and minimize problems. The results show that companies of the energy sector of Ukraine are in need of knowledge management technology that may increase socioeconomic development of these enterprises. The practical recommendations on application of knowledge management technology in enterprises of the energy sector of Ukraine could increase the level of socio-economic development of enterprises, particularly: 1) determine, on the basis of innovative processes, areas of knowledge management technology for the growth of the level of socio-economic development of domestic enterprises; 2) take into consideration the necessary elements that demand special attention in the implementation of knowledge management technology; 3) evaluate the quality of the result of processes of knowledge management technology in the implementation of specific management decisions in practice. To enhance the socio-economic development of Ukraine's energy sector enterprises, the study suggests an improved mechanism for institutional support for the socioeconomic development. The thesis brings forward practical advices on ways to improve management effectiveness of the socio-economic development of the enterprises in the energy sector of Ukraine.
