Essay

The dissertation is devoted to philosophical and anthropological analysis of the transformation processes that family is going through at the present stage of its development. There is demonstrated that cultural processes and change of ideological paradigm in XX-XXI centuries became those motive forces of family transformation. It radically influenced on the formation of new woman and man status. There is determined that the leading processes are: sexual and contraceptive revolution, the appearance of feministic movement, the impact of war on the formation of a new woman and man image, emergence of a new understanding of fatherhood and motherhood, actualization of gender problems. It is proved that the leading force for the destruction of gender stereotyping in society and in the family was a woman. The author emphasizes the basic features of modern family. They are: nuclearization, new forms of family and marriage, ambiguous attitude to children starting, the formation of a new man and woman image, significant changes in the understanding of women and men mission and role in the family, procrastination of marriage and the family making, lightweight attitude to divorce.
