The thesis explores features of using the archaic forms of nominal lexical and grammatical classes consisting of literary and dialectal phraseology recorded in various lexicographical works. The views of linguists were described in understanding the nature of phraseology units and the amount of idioms of Ukrainian phraseme, and the determination of the place of forms were archaic grammatical forms in modern Ukrainian language and particularly in the structure of phraseology. The functions and the features of grammatical archaisms have been found out that the peculiarities of dialect phraseology have been analyzed in order to study grammar archaic and maintaining of archaic forms in the structure of Ukrainian resistant units have been installed which are defined not only according to the specific value of phraseology, but which also depends on the characteristics of their forms, that is shown in a fixed word order, and immutability of the components. Particular attention is paid to the research of the varieties obsolete case forms of the nominal parts of speech, the remnants of adjectival, pronominal, numeral forming which were recorded in literary and dialectal phraseology, to a clarification the level of resistant units productivity with one or another archaic forms. The analysis of archaic noun is done according to the traditional division of nouns into genders and numbers. Dual forms were considered separately. Reproduced and analyzed material gives reason to believe that particular noun forming is determined by extensive flex system which was marked by effects of active cooperation in the process of inflectional rules between the old types of noun. Old grammatical forms of the nouns in the structure of stable units enhance the expressiveness of their value. They contribute to the stability of the order of words and their word forms, as they are isolated from modern grammatical system. The thesis is determined that the remains of adjectival formation (short, full adjectives, comparative forms) are recorded mostly in composed proverbs, due to artistic and expressive intonation and rhythmic features of these units. Ukrainian language pronoun system has not undergone fundamental changes such as noun, because this outdated pronoun forms are not so common in the language of literature works and dialect usage of words. A study of factual material discovered only different phonetic variants of pronouns and in analogy to adjectival - short and some full forms that are kept mostly in proverbs and sayings. It is established that the numerals in composed stable units finally do not lose basic lexical load, but contribute to the formation of new shades in the meaning of phraseology unit. The thesis is determined that the preservation of archaic grammatical forms of nominal parts of speech as part of phraseology indicates the ability of phraseology units to be semantically indivisible. Semantic indivisibility of phraseology, except of the presence of grammatical archaisms may be supported by the usage of out-of-date words which are incomprehensible to speakers and a loss of the syntactic context within the limits of a phraseology unit.
